Rocco Forte Villa Kennedy details: In the September edition of the European Business Magazine, the Rocco Forte Villa Kennedy was elected as the number one business hotel in Europe. The hotel is setting a high benchmark not only for Frankfurt, but for all of Europe.

The Villa Kennedy is a wonderful combination of tradition and innovation. The hotel is nestled just off the south bank of the Main River in a wonderful villa landscape. The traditional Villa Speyer of 1904 sets the stage for the 3 newly constructed buildings that house this luxurious downtown retreat. The picturesque courtyard makes it an escape and meeting place in one. The elegant restaurant leads into the inner courtyard garden, where you can enjoy the excellent dishes during the warm summer months.

Frankfurt is renowned for being one of the largest and most influential financial centres in Europe. Villa Kennedy is located on Kennedyallee, enabling quick access to the commercial areas of the city.

The residential part of the city (Sachsenhausen), with its bars and restaurants, is also nearby as are the city's many museums, racecourse and football stadium. Famous historical links to the city include Goethe, Anne Frank and the Zeppelin airship.

With its excellent transport links to Frankfurt Airport, the railway and national roads, the hotel will be convenient for both business and leisure.

Frankfurt's main financial and business districts are only 5 minutes away and can be reached easily within 5 minutes by taxi, bus or tram. The Frankfurt International Fairground is only 10 minutes away from the hotel. Frankfurt International Airport (FRA) can be reached within a 15 minute drive. Please ask about the exclusive limousine service.

Dining

Inviting, and with a view of the inner courtyard's lush gardens, the elegant hotel restaurant, seating around 140, is open for lunch and dinner. The restaurant has a cultured and refined atmosphere.

The interior architectural style divides the room into several sections, which creates privacy and calm in the eating area. For diners who desire complete privacy, so-called 'private dining rooms' are available as well.

The calm courtyard, with its large trees, is used as a terrace on beautiful summer days and offers the ideal surroundings for events of all kinds.

JFK's Bar and Lounge offers 80 seats and also overlooks the courtyard. The bar has a bright, friendly, open and communicative air. Cosy seating areas invite you to finish the day in style, enjoying a relaxing drink and a fine cigar.

I stayed at the Villa Kennedy for one night in late November 2007 during a business trip. This hotel is almost worth going to Frankfurt for. PROS: excellent service from the moment you arrive, beautiful comfortable rooms, amazing spa and pool, charming bar area, competitive prices, very good entertainment system, cleanliness, quiet, beautiful but unobtrusive interior decoration, nice contrast of old (building) and new (decor), efficient, cheery staff, close proximity to downtown, and a certain stylishness. Much more pleasant than the typical four or five star business hotel in Frankfurt. CONS: bed sheets need a little fabric softener. I recommended this hotel to all my German friends and would be happy to have the occasion to stay there again.

Stayed one night in Nov07 on business in a standard room for 310 Euro incl taxes, without brkfst. 2 pics of rooms are already posted frm another tripadvisor member – photo 1 and 9 (which was taken at night). I dislike design of working and sofa area and think that it is really not adequate to a 5+ star hotel. Ok, tastes are different… There were several bugs with room and room maid - just to mention one: heating did not work. Unfortunately I did not realized that upon arrival. When I returned from a business meeting at 11 pm room was freezing cold (1 degree outside). Reception promised to talk with the technical department but nothing changed for one hour. Nobody come to room, nobody offered another room and at midnight I “closed that matter”. More things worth to mention: - In-room internet access is 20 Euro for 24 hours. Internet access in so called business center (freezing, frequent passing by of staff and other people) costs 5 Euro for 15 minutes (line was very very slow). I always find it very annoying to pay for internet in luxury hotels. In my opinion there is something wrong with such a business model. - Phone calls in Frankfurt area are for free but other phone calls to Germany are very expensive (I think they at least quintuple) - Convenient location to airport (10 to 15 minutes by taxi) - Huge pool and nice spa which opens already at 06.30 am. My personal summary: impressive hardware (means exterior and partly interior design) but room for improvement in software (means services, thinking out of the box).
