Our hotel is conveniently located at the outskirts of Freiburg with panoramic views over the city. The city center and business district are 4km away. This is one of our favourite hotels. The staff really make you feel welcome and look after you. The food is good by German standards - if a little fussy at times.
Breakfast sets the standard for breakfasts and the pancakes, bacon and Maple syrup - a taste acquired in Canada - are wonderful - as are the breads and the attention to detail.
The rates too are reasonable and the location overlooking Freiburg and in woodland with extensive walking is well worth the visit.
Well done to the staff. Even the one who forgot my Tokai desert wine!!
By the way - don't bother with Freiburg itself - its smothered in tourists and grafitti.

Surprising quality .Better than some 5 stars..
Our room had a large private balcony with a gorgeous view! The staff was exceptionally friendly. The breakfast buffet was excellentand we ate outside, again, on a beautiful terrace.
We borrowed decent bikes and biked on paths through the Black Forest.
It felt very luxurious at an affordable price. Would reccommend and go back ourselves.
