If you are looking for a standard hotel without any special atmosphere nor any special quality of service then Luitpoldpark should suit your needs. But if you are looking for something a little bit more special or more accurate STAY AWAY!
My husband and I booked a suite with sauna for three nights during the Easter holidays. The only good thing that the suite had was the sauna. Nothing else. The room was huge, but it lacked everything a suite should have and it was almost empty. Great if you like dancing around, but really bad as far as comfort and luxury is concerned. The TV set was incredibly small and placed so much apart from the bed that watching it was practically impossible. The furniture was sparse and really nothing special. The minibar was tiny too. The bathroom was big but had nothing in it apart from soap and towels.
Breakfast was absolutely boring: two kinds of cheese, fat German sausages, salad without dressing, some cereal, eggs and bacon. The only really good thing was the bread, which was always fresh and crispy (apart from the last day). The really poor thing were the glasses, though, which were only 1 dl big, a good way to stop people from drinking too much (don't get me wrong here: I'm talking about juice and mineral water).
The hotel offers the use of a fitness center (which was nice and well equipped) and of a spa (where guests were forced to lie in the tiny whirlpool naked).
