Just a short stroll takes you to the heart of Hameln’s Old Town with its numerous attractions and impressive old buildings from the Weserrenaissance. The highlands surrounding the river Weser are waiting to be discovered via a boat trip or a cycle tour along Germany’s most popular cycle path – the Weserradweg.Weekly from mid-May until mid- September the musical performance of "Rats" and the open-air play "The Pied Piper of Hamelin" take place in the town centre and can be viewed free of charge.
Visit the museum, one of the galleries, the glassworks of Hameln or linger awhile in one of the numerous Old Town taverns.

The hotel occupies a large corner house immediately outside the old town centre of Hameln. It has been beautifully refurbished in [as the name suggests] the Art Nouveau style, in keeping with the architecture of the building. The rooms are fairly spacious, well furnished and very comfortable and the hotel seems to be used quite a lot during the week by business travellers. It has Wi-fi and there was a phone/fax in our room. The staff, mostly young women, were exceptionally helpful, even making us coffee outside the normal service hours. There is a sauna. The three rooms on the top floor have balconies with sunshades, and air conditioning. The others don't but are cheaper. The breakfast buffet was excellent, a wide selection of delicious cheeses, meats and breads, and the coffee was superb. Free parking on site. Thoroughly recommended, absolutely nothing to fault it and good value for a busy tourist town.
