Hotel Domstern is located in the Domstrasse, only 200 metres from the cathedral and main station and is easily accessible by car or public transport. It is the perfect base for a city break and for business travellers.

Almost all the important sights are within walking distance. In 5-10 minutes you will reach the historical old town along the Rhine river, with bars and restaurants, the pedestrian zone with cafés and shopping, the Opera house and the world famous Cologne Philharmonie as well as several museums.

The trade fair (Köln Messe) is 2 minutes away on the train or 15 to 20 minutes walk. The trade fair in Düsseldorf is also just a short train ride away.

Hotel Domstern is located just a few minutes walk from the main Cologne railway station. It is in a quiet street. It is ideal for visiting the Cathedral, the old town, Christmas markets and the main shopping areas. The staff were excellent, they were welcoming and very helpful,nothing was too much trouble. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. The breakfast was excellent. Eggs, meat, bread, cereal, conserves etc.

Quaint hotel

Hotel Domgarten is a close walk to the main train station and the famous Cathedral in Cologne. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. When we checked-in, we were immediately given a map and a guide book of the city. There is an elevator in the hotel, so you do not have to use the winding staircase. The breakfast room is small, but you receive personal service at your table. There is an underground parking garage with very limited spaces. Our room had a mini-fridge and hairdryer. The one thing that was missing was a fan in the room. It was very warm in our room, and it never did cool off even when the outside temperature had.
