The Hotel Augustiner Hof is is very modern hotel located just 5 minutes from the main train station. It is on a busy street but we had a room that faced toward one of the side streets and did not notice street noise. There is constrution work going on next door but since we were out during the day we weren't bothered by the work.
This hotel is somewhat unconventional in that the reception is on the second floor in the breakfast area. However, this had no effect of checking in and out. Our room was very comfortable, with wood floors and light furniture, all very functional and at the same time gave an airy feel. Very modern fixtures in the well equiped bathroom and the room size was very adequate. Breakfast was included and was good but not outstanding for Germany.
Be sure to ask at the reception for a free bus pass for the Konstanz area during your stay. You can use it to get to the garden island of Manau amonst other destinations.

Sehr modernes Hotel. 5 Minuten zum See. Wir hatten ein sehr geräumiges, helles Zimmer, sehr stilvoll eingerichtet mit kleinem Balkon und Blick auf den Bodensee.
Die Sonnenterasse hat uns zum ausgedehnten Frühstück eingeladen. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
