Stayed here two nights, paying EUR75 per night. Was a pretty good rate considering my stay in town coincided with the Bayern-Munich / Bolton Wanderers UEFA Cup game, and thus there was an influx of English football fans in town, and prices around town generally seemed pretty high. Room was airy and comfortable, with a small kitchenette hidden behind folding doors, with a small cooktop, some utensils and crockery, and a small bar fridge. There is a small family type market across the road where you can buy drinks etc to fill up the fridge. U Bahn station very close by, and about a 5 to 10 minute walk to Haupbahnhof, so its quite convenient. Room was clean and the towel warming rack in the bathroom was handy for drying hand washing. Checked in and out during the day, and stayed in at night (was very cold in Munich at the time) so the reception hours didn't affect me. Wasn't luxury accommodation, just clean and sensible if you are not overly fussy.

We stayed at this hotel twice recently, and were very pleased. The hotel is very clean, small rooms but adequate, and the rooftop garden as an option for breakfast was very nice (unless you are allergic to honey bees, who insist on visiting your plate if you eat there). The breakfast is not varied from day to day, but is adequate to give you a good start. The highlight is the cappuccini machine where you can brew several different morning coffees. The basket of apples always present for you to sample at the front desk is a nice touch as well. We learned to use the washer and dryer in the laundry room (take your German/English dictionary) and were able to have nice clean clothes for a very reasonable price. The nicest thing was that we left the hotel to visit Prague overnight and were returning for the rest of our vacation in Munich a day later. The staff stored our excess luggage, made sure a key was waiting for us upon our return late at night, and had our luggage in the room when we arrived from Prague. The proximity to the train station is wonderful...we sometimes walked, sometimes took the convenient subway. This is very close tot the Oktoberfest fairgrounds. There is no A.C., and when the windows are open the street noise can be difficult. We did request a fan and that helped a great deal. All in all, a great value. Friendly staff too!
