I stayed at this hotel in April, 2007. It was easy to locate off the autobahn, Efnerstrasse is a main thoroughfare and is well signed. The neighbourhood is largely residential, with offices nearby. The subway station is about a 20 minute walk, but may be a bit far for those who don't walk or exercise much. The area is very pedestrian friendly, wide sidewalks and walk lights at intersections. There is a bakery, coffee shop and small grocer (with fresh fruit and veggies) within an easy stroll. The hotel room was smaller than what we're used to in North America, but it's neat and compact--- no wasted space. Clean. Large windows that open. Helpful staff. Great selection at the breakfast buffet in the diningroom. Quaint pub that serves a variety of German and American foods that were delicious. The beer was cold and tasty. A nice place to stay, esp. for business travellers.

We stayed here at Oktoberfeat time 2007. (Sept 24 - 26 ) The hotel itself is a little tired and older looking on the outside but the interior was very nice. Our room was a Bavarian deluxe ( mini suite) with a 4 post wooden bed, wood lined walls and a seperate sitting area. We were very comfortable and happy. I emailed ahead and had flowers and wine on ice in the room for our arrival (50 euro extra). The staff was great and even included a fruit basket and chocolates for us in that price. Everything about the hotel including the room was spotless clean. Breakfast was very good with anything a person could ask for. The metro was about 3/4 of a mile from the hotel though a residental area but with a bakery on the way, we stoped and had a treat and a beer on our way to Oktoberfest. We took taxis back from Oktoberfest There is a gas station/ mini mart right next store to the hotel for snacks and beer. Other then the mini mart and bakery there is not much else too close to this hotel. There are restaurants a mile from the hotel on the main street. Overall I would give this hotel a rating of A- only because the distants to the metro other then that it was great.
