Out of our 15 day European vacation and staying at about 8 hotels, this was by far the BEST hotel we stayed at in Europe. Our first impression of the hotel was, of course, at the front desk where we were greeted by the EXTREMELY helpful staff. The hotel was VERY convenient to the train station literally across the street with access via underground pedestrian walkway (all connected to the train station). Also, this hotel was a great location for the old city section of the town. In terms of size we were not expecting much but it was about average size (typical for Europe and similar to what we have stayed at in NYC & San Francisco). However, we still had enough room for our big suitcase and big pack. The room had an armouir with a safe in it. The hotel has the old charm accompanied by modern furnishings, beds, and bath. My girlfriend is probably a fanantic when it come to clean rooms and this hotel definitely exceeded her expectations. The bathroom was immaculate and the beds were fresh and clean. There was breakfast included with the stay and it a great spread by European standards. It consisted of breads, pastries, hot/ cold meats, cheeses, eggs, cereal, yogurt, and tea/coffee/cappuccino/espresso. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling through or staying a few days.

We stayed for a few nights in late April. A nice little hotel where we would stay at again. Our room was very clean, ok size wise (small by American standards, typical for our past experience in Europe). The room we had faced the back courtyard which was pleasant and we could see part of the wall of the old city. It’s a little loud at night during warm weather when we had the windows open, with people walking through the courtyard, breaking bottles one night, or talking loudly but it wasn’t too bad. Service was terrific. Generally, we don’t use many hotel services (like a concierge or even room service), but since you stop by the reception to get or turn in your key (again, standard for Europe in our past experience), the friendly and helpful staff really made us feel welcome. We found ourselves asking a question or two and they could not have been more courteous. The breakfast buffet was varied and of high quality. The folks handling the breakfast room were efficient and affable. Great location. It’s near the train station (we got off the train and rolled our luggage a couple of blocks to the hotel) but not so close that you are right in with the train station shops, etc. It’s in the old town, where you can walk to numerous outdoor beer spots and check out the rest of old town on foot. We would recommend this hotel.
