Location
Of all Germany’s state capitals Stuttgart’s location is one of the most beautiful. Surrounded by mountains with dense forests and lush, sloping vineyards, Stuttgart is not only renowned for its dynamic industry, but also for its range of cultural events and institutions.
Above all, it is the vibrating and joie de vivre flair of the city that captivates its visitors. First-time visitors should start their tour of Stuttgart at "Schillerplatz". The "Altes Schloss" (a Renaissance palace), the "Stiftskirche" (Collegiate Church of the Holy Cross, Stuttgart’s most famous landmark) and the "Fruchtkasten" (Granary), an old warehouse from the Renaissance period, are all well worth a visit. This historic building houses the "Wuerttembergisches Landesmuseum’s" collection of musical instruments. The next stop on your tour should definitely be "Schlossplatz" with the "Koenigsbau" (a Neo-classical building with its 135 metres facade and shops) and the "Neues Schloss" (a Baroque building that now houses government offices). One of the most interesting attractions is a visit to the "Wilhelma", the largest zoological and botanical garden in Europe, which was laid out as a Moorish garden in 1850.

Check in / front desk
10.0
The Zeppelin has a few features that make it a good place to stay - HOWEVER, you should avoid a few weaknesses - then it will be a great place for a stop in Stuttgart.
Here is my advice -
1. LOCATION
This is a "+" and a "-" in one:
Its opposite to the Main Station (Hauptbahnhof); its next to the Koenigstrasse, main shopping area; its close to everything in the inner city you might like to do, opera, parks, etc, and the subway train is right underneath.
THE BIG MINUS is the 8-lane main road infront of the hotel; you can MITIGATE this by asking for a room to the back!
Over my last stay I was booked to the front rooms and there is a clear policy at the front desk to hand out rooms to the back First! So it took some negotiations, and it meant I traded down into a single room, with a weak mattress. But I slept well.
2. RESTAURANT
There are two restaurants - one is called Zeppelino, nice, Swabian food - very well done, great Maultaschen (dumplings).
The HIT is the the restaurant called OLIVO; if you stay overnight, you should find dinner time there; the head chef is quite famous but the restaurant is never fully booked, as the locals are quite tight on the money! Here you can eat very very good Italian food, he holds a 1* Michelin - well deserved and reasonably priced. good winelist, too.
3. OTHER SERVICES
All-in-all a friendly staff in this old-style Hotel; clearly, the breakfast room would deserve some refreshing furniture, but the buffett is quite ok. Try the local Brezels. The Bar downstairs is sometimes used for car-dealings into Eastern Europe - a bit of a turn-off. The Spa/pool has some lovely ladies working there, charges are modest and the openings are till late in the night, not bad for a stressed business traveller.
SUMMARY
Avoid rooms to the front to the street; Go to Olivo, Get a massage at arrival, and book the hotel via the internet, you get a decent price below 150 Euro, this is great value.
Ps: Drop me a mail if you have comments. Thxs

This hotel is located right opposite the Stuttgart main train station. Just walk out the train station, look across the road to the right and there it is. The rooms in the hotel are very spacious and clean and modern looking. Have no complaints at all about the hotel. Would definitely stay there again if returning to Stuttgart.
