Hotel Alte Villa - Trier, Germany 

We like to stay in small hotels with local color. This hotel provided a pleasant solution. Two couples stayed in two rooms one night in early June 2008. The rooms were small but not cramped. There was a desk and a large bathroom. Wi-Fi Internet access is available if you have your own laptop. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant because it was closed the one evening we were there. The included buffet breakfast was above average. Parking was available on the street. I do not know if the rooms are air conditioned so check on that if it will be hot while you are there. Our rooms were on the ground floor and I noticed they had portable ramps for wheelchairs over the three stairsteps to our rooms. Some rooms are up one floor. The hotel is located about three blocks from Highway 51 so it is easy drive to other places in the town. Our rate was 99 Euros per night per room. We would have enjoyed staying longer at this hotel.
