The hotel is set on a residential street overlooking the oldest town in Germany. The hotel is within 2 minutes walk of ERA (The European Academy of Law) and down the hill takes you wihtin 5 minutes to the Kaiserthermen. The city itself is about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel was lovely with the best feature being the delightful breakfast room doen out in Hapsburg yellow, linen table covers and plenty of space. A very bright and airy room. The breakfast far exceeded the already high level of breakfast one can expect in Germany. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very pleasant with a large bathroom. All the usual comforts. This is the type of place we would all I am sure love to find in each place we visit. Small, family run, attentive staff and the comfort of a far bigger hotel. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We stayed 4 nights in a room which looked out directly onto the city and river. We found the staff helpful, especially since our German is quite poor. The waitress who served our evening meal was especially good at translating the menu and she willingly liased with the chef to help me understand what the fish was & let me taste a bit before deciding to have it.
The public parts of the hotel are very nice, the terrace particularly so. The only downside i could see was the room (Prag) had a very small bathroom with a not quite full length bath which was slightly disappointing. The slightly naff chipboard wallpaper & old TV suggested the room was in need of a general update. Also a kettle and a cup would have been nice. I thought that was pretty standard in modern Europe now? However it was very comfortable and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere out of the ordinary.
