TripTake Traveler Reviews
My wife and I stayed at Premier Inn – Poole North on the night of 19th April. Most hotels closer to the town centre were fully booked – or had put their prices up – as the Blues Brothers were playing in Town. The room was comfortable enough with a king size bed, clean, well maintained, the bathroom has a power shower over the bath and there is a fantastic breakfast buffet available in the morning. The hotel has a bar and restaurant serving lunch and evening meals. Hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities are available in the room. If you need additional tea or whatever, just ask at reception. The hotel is outside of the main area’s set in an industrial park, which could be noisy during the day if you left the windows open but I would have thought after office hours it would be no nosier than any other hotel. Keeping the double glazed windows closed will alleviate any noise.

We booked a family room but were very disappointed. The design and size of the room is such that the two extra beds are in line with the main bed. So if you need the loo in the middle of the night, it would be quite difficult to avoid standing on a child!
Fortunately the manager took pity on us and offered us an adjoining room at no extra cost. Our childre are old enough for us all to benefit from this, but if they had been 7 year olds, husband and I would have been sleeping apart.
Travel Inns used to offer super family rooms where the children's beds could be tucked round the corner. A bit of squeeze but you culd walk around the whole room. Now, it's all penny (or should that be centimetre) pinching, and poor value for ?68.
