Schlosshotel Kronberg details: Location. Schlosshotel Kronberg is located two kilometres from the centre of the German town of Kronberg and 22 kilometres from central Frankfurt.
Hotel Features. This four storey hotel was built as a private residence in 1898 in the style of a German castle with Tudor influences, and is surrounded by gardens laid out in an English fashion. Guests can enjoy complimentary use of a nearby fitness centre and spa, and the hotel can arrange transport. Multilingual staff at the 24 hour front desk can offer currency exchange, concierge services, tour assistance and the use of a safe deposit box. The public areas have complimentary wireless Internet access, and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby.

Schlossrestaurant serves international dishes in a traditional setting with a terrace overlooking the gardens. A champagne buffet breakfast is available (surcharge). Jimmy's Bar has a wide selection of international drinks and cigars, and features live piano music.

The hotel grounds offer excellent opportunities for both walking and jogging.

Stayed at the hotel recently while attending a conference. Pluses (1) Charming historical building set in beautiful grounds (golf course / parkland) (2) Nearby village is similarly pretty and a nice contrast from modern downtown Frankfurt Minuses (1) Room and hotel public areas did not have air-conditioning. Not an issue during this stay, but may be a problem on a hot summer's day (2) Single room was on the small side, but had nice views (3) No gym or pool on-site (4) Staff were nice and friendly but had some issues (e.g. understanding English; fax was not sent) (5) Location would be a bit inconvenient for going to / from meetings in Frankfurt
