NK Mondial - Dusseldorf, Germany 

We wanted a cheap Christmas break to see the markets, and generally have a good few days away from work! It's fairly difficult to get weekends in December when the markets are on, but we found this one for a very reasonable price, which included breakfast and parking. The parking turned out to be in a secure multi story around the corner, but at discounted rates, so we only got charged 16 Euros from Friday afternoon until midday Sunday - not bad for a city centre! The rooms were adequate, clean, and reasonable appointed, but at less than 30 Euros per night, and with breakfast included, the rooms were actually quite good - not five star by any means, but good enough! And as for breakfast - what a surprise! As much bread, toast, cold meats, cheeses, eggs and jams as you could want - one of the better continental breakfasts I've ever had, and I've had a few! Hotel staff were very polite and helpful (and had a sense of humour - unusual for Germans!! I jest of course!). Would I go there again? Yes!
