Our travel agent booked the Hotel Jedermann for my 20 year daughter and I. We were very disappointed and moved out as soon as they would let us, which was two nights later. We would have left right away if we could have, without loosing money. I started checking on the internet for alternatives as soon as we checked in. The Hotel was advertised as being in Old Town of Munich and quite close to the train station. In actuality it was neither, since the Hotel was at least a 35 min walk to Old Town and a brisk 20-25 min. walk from the train station. Pulling a suitcase, this was a quite a haul, since we expected to be quite close to the Old Town and train station. The Hotel is actually much more like a hostel with private rooms, very tired and dated, not overly clean. The bathroom smelled and the mattresses were quite thin. The rooms are not air conditioned and the street that the hotel is on is quite busy and loud. At night, we did not feel particularly safe walking and the neighborhood is not great. We would not stay here again nor would we recommend it to anyone.
