A fairly new hotel which we found to be clean and well staffed with the staff doing their best to master Engish. The down side was that the rooms facing the road are very noisy even though the building is partlily screened from the road. With a hospital next door the emergency services used their sirens to good effect! The lack of air con needs to be taken into account if you are going to stay in he summer. We only tried the breakfast, that was average but you had to be early if coach parties are booked. The location is not for the faint hearted with a bus ride and the metro needed to reach the city. This takes about 30 mins if all connections are made on time, if not allow at least 40-50 mins in rush hour. You should also be prepared to push as queues are unheard of. A three day metro/bus/tram ticket will add about 250 crowns to the cost of your stay. An adventure but next time we would stay in central Prague.

We stayed at Rezidence Emmy for 4 nights at the end of July, during the heat wave in Prague. You definetely need your own transportation if you decide to stay here and yes, Emmy was difficult to find, but we purchased a good map at the gas station and it was a breeze after that. The hotel is very new, originally planned as a residence for doctors visiting the adjoining hospital. I guess there weren't as many doctors coming as they expected, so they rent rooms to others as well. We didn't like the rowdy school groups that came on buses from Russia, Italy and Germany, but the staff was very pleasant and accomodating, albeit their English was limited. The room was great, well appointed, with new modern and functional furniture, large desk, nice armchairs, ample closet space, large bathroom and free (although slow) wireless internet. The hotel does not have air-conditioning but the staff gave us fans to compensate for it during the high temperatures. There is free parking at the hotel. The breakfast was mediocre, but food is not the best in the Czech Republic anyway. We got a cheap rate of 48 Euro per night and it was definetely worth the great experience there. Would stay there again, unless we win a lottery.
