I was a little suspicious of this property at first- the staff didn't seem overly helpful; and the layout was odd. Also, the rate we got was amazing, so I kept waiting for problems- why was it so affordable? I was very pleased when this turned out to be one of the best places we have stayed. It is not far to the main square area, great restaurants, and a good grocery store. The hotel gave us a 2 bedroom suite, with 2 bathrooms (only one full bath). The room had a small balcony, a dining room, and two flat screens. Duvets and slippers were provided. Internet and phone access were affordable; and although room service was very limited, they came up immediately to hook us up. Ice was also provided for us quickly. The small kitchenette had everything you needed, plus small refrigerator. Everything was immaculate, and the ac was great- very nice for us, since we had been traveling in Eastern Europe for awhile, and there are many places that aren't air conditioned. Great place- I would highly recommend.

I booked this hotel a couple of weeks before we travelled and got the next room up from a standard for ?78 including breakfast. It is about a 10 minute walk from subway stop Karlovo Namesti to the hotel but is really simple. Definitely catch the bus from the airport to the furthest out tube stop then I think you have to change once. The subway there is so cheap and regular. The hotel is very grand. Our room was a suite. We had a small kitchen area where we could make hot drinks, there was a fridge/mini bar and a microwave. There was a leather sofa and tv in the lounge that had a juliette balcony. The bathroom was gorgeous, very modern with a huge corner bath with shower over and lovely toiletries. The bedroom was very stylish with built in wardrobes behind a petition - enough space to stay a couple of weeks! We had a king size bed and another tv in the room with some satellite channels. Breakfast was in the basement, there was an excellent choice of hot and cold food. It took about 15 minutes to walk to Wenceslas Sq but it is interesting with lots of shops to look in. The hotel is situated on Zitna, it is a busy street but our room overlooked the courtyard so there was no noise at all. Walking east on Zitna there are a few sex shops but the area is fine. There is a fantastic Italian restaurant around there too. Quite small and nothing flash but they take you down to the basement which is filled with pictures of stars who have eaten there. The food was excellent and very reasonable. The hotel is being refurbished from July 07 until autumn 08 and if they can improve it anymore then it has to be recommended.
