I have just returned from Prague, staying in the Arcotel Teatrino and was extremely impressed, given what I paid. The hotel was 65 euros per night and I think you would be hard pressed to find better accomodation for that price. A bright, airy reception, with very attentive and helpful staff leads through to a snazzy liitle bar and a breakfaxt room, set in the old theatre part, which was the grandest I have seen in a hotel (and the breakfast, itself was not bad either!) My room was larger than expected and was nice and clean, with cable-TV and a mini bar. The bathroom was a good size, with plenty of fresh towels and soaps/shampoos available. The hotel itself is not in the most elegant part of town but never once did I feel threatened or intimidated and 50 yards from the hotel is tram stop 'Lipanska' from where tram no's 5 or 9 will take you to Wenceslas Square in 10 minutes. If you like to sample the local flavour when travelling, there are a couple of very cheap little bars around, full of locals and virtually no tourists. Hopefully, this was not my last visit to Prague and if I do go back I will probably check this hotel out, first.
