My wife and I stayed at the Art Hotel for a full week starting June 14th in room 105. Honestly we loved it! The room was clean and the maid did an excellent job every day keeping it well made. The TV was a large LG LCD with a good selection of channels. There was a fully stocked fridge with mini-bar and a couch and chairs to kick back on. The bed was big and comfortable and we slept soundly the entire time we were there.
The breakfasts (as noted by many already) were exemplary with a large assortment of morning foods. I also enjoyed kicking back in that same dining room at night watching Euro 2008 futbol and sipping wine.
The girls who work at the front desk are helpful, even if their English is not that great (my problem, I know). They were more than happy to do things like give me directions, get me ice, hot tea for my wife, or a cigar from their small humidor to smoke in their nice little patio outside.
There were a few cons to all the pros. First, the elevator does not stop on the first floor and there is no bel-hop so you will have to lug your luggage up the stairs on your own if you get first floor accomodations. Also, the tram is under construction and does not currently stop at Sparta Stadin. You will have to take the X1 bus from one of the main Tram/Metro stops (the Art Hotel sells single trip passes). And then there is a short walk from the Stadium to the hotel. It did not bother us once we got used to it, but it's something to keep in mind.
We really enjoyed Praha and the Art Hotel is a winner. The price is great for the rooms you get. You won't exactly be pampered by the staff but it's a pleasant hotel and a nice place to spend some quiet time after a long day of museums and shopping.

We have just returned from 10 nights and 11 days at the Art Hotel Prague - "a diamond in a haystack".
We started the day off with a Champagne Breakfast: at 8am: Assorted cereal with milk, Bacon, sausage and sunny side up eggs. Assorted cheeses, smoked salmon and smoked fish. Assorted rolls and pastries, fresh fruit and yogurt, hot coffee and sparkling Brut Champagne.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were very attentive and friendly, they lent us their laptop free of charge along with a refreshing glass of water filled with ice cubes.
This Hotel is a 15 minute walk across the Letenske Sady Park then over the Cechuv Most Bridge to the Josefov, the old Jewish Cemetery and the old/new Synagogue.
Around 2 pm we hunted the best outdoor garden restaurants with 3 course fixed price lunches from $20 to $25.
Around 6pm we chose our favorite seats in front of the pond of the Stylova Cukrarna, it is the Garden of Eden, a horticulturist's paradise at Jana Zajice 7 on the next block.
We had a different daily tea infusion, the desserts were sinfully delicious and the attentive staff drew us there as a ritual every evening.
The cheapest way to get to the hotel from the airport is to take the 119 Bus from the Airport to Dejvicka Train Station, one stop to Hradcanska Train Station and the X1 Bus to AC Sparta, then a few minutes walk to the Art Hotel Prague.
