Legacy Falcon Hotel - Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom 3 star hotel

Address: Chapel Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37 6ER
Legacy Falcon Hotel details:  Be amongst the first to enjoy the completion of the hotel’s fantastic GBP 2.5 million refurbishment.

Dating back to the 16th century, the Legacy Falcon Hotel is a quintessential Tudor residence. Featuring decorative half-timbering and narrow, slanted windows it encapsulates Tudor charm. The interiors boast rich, regal colours, exposed wood panelling and wrought-iron fittings; a blissfully cosy environment.

Accommodation consists of 53 newly refurbished rooms in the slightly more modern section of the hotel, situated at the rear. 20 rooms are based in the mid-section part of the original building. The hotel is located just 6 miles from the M40 and has its own car park for 120 cars.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my partner for two nights in July. We had previously visited the hotel in June 2007 and loved it then so we were pleasantly surprised when we went back to find out there had been a ?2.5million pound refurbishment on the hotel! It's even more gorgeous now, very relaxing, with lovely gardens to sit in for lunch or just a drink (if you get the right weather!). But even if you don't, there is a lovely, light, conservatory area right by the gardens which is perfect for afternoon tea. The rooms are lovely, very clean and very spacious and modern! We ate in the hotel both nights and the food was out of this world, the service was top class and I honestly couldn't find a fault with anything! The location was perfect for exploring Stratford, only a 2 minute walk from the centre of town. I will certainly be visiting this hotel again and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Stratford for business or pleasure.

Value +++, Hygiene +++, Comfort ++, Staff +, inclusions +, Location +++ VALUE: We booked this hotel through www.booking.com and saved GBP97/night! Not believing the discount listed on the website I telephoned the property myself. The discount was real. HYGIENE: There was no fault in the presentation of the room or any of the common areas of the hotel. Their cleanliness was first class throughout. COMFORT: The room was presented beautifully. It was of a good size and it was laid out sensibly. STAFF: The staff were very good, however their knowledge of tourist opportunities was a little lacking. This property appeared to cater more for commercial travellers rather than tourists. INCLUSIONS: Breakfast is included in the rate and it is very good. Also included in the rate is internet via the television in each room. It takes a bit to get used to but it is fun to use. LOCATION: Absolutely in the middle of Stratford-upon-Avon, this location is as good as you'll get.
