Cerna Liska - Black Fox - Prague, Czech Republic 

My boyfriend and I have visited Prague before and this time wanted to stay closer to the Old Town Square - Hotel Cerna Liska was the perfect location and cant be faulted. Literally only a stones throw away from the old square itself this hotel is within a few minutes walking distnce of everything. Prague is the perfect place for a romantic getaway and the Old Town Square is the perfect location. Surrounded by good restaurants and small cobbled walkways there is always plenty to see and do including the Charles bridge, river boat tours and of course Prague castle. I would highly recommend visiting the top of the Astrological clock in the Old Square Centre a it has unbeatable views of Old town prague and beyond - was definitely a highlight of the trip. I would encourage you to eat and drink at restaurants which arent directly on the square as these can be pricey and there are plenty of other great options available in the surrounding walkways. Definitely Go to a pub called ' U Vejvodu' which is also a restaurant downstairs - its located just off the square, is really good value for money and feels like an authentic Czech beer hall!! The Black Stag is another great eatery for sampling the local dishes at good prices. Hotel Cerna Liska itself is clean and tidy and the rooms are huge!! We were extremely impressed with the quality and size of the bathroom too as this is always an important point for us with hotels. We initially checked in to room 302 but had problems with the aircon (ie; it was 30 degrees outside and the aircon wasnt working at all). The girl on the desk advised us that she had called a maintenence worker who would be there within the next few hours - unfortunately he never arrived and we were given a fan until the following day. Come the next evening (and temperatures rising outside) the aircon still wasnt working at all and after threatening to look at other hotels we were given a different room. The girl on the front desk also sent a bottle of sparkling wine up to us and apologised for the inconvenience which was a really nice touch. All in all this is a great find at a good price and I would definitely recommend this hotel. There were a few minor things missing (eg: no iron and ironing board in the room) but these are to be expected if the hotel isnt 5 star.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Cerna Liska Hotel in Prague and I have nothing bad to say about it. The location is fantastic, very central in the Old Town Square. The rooms are great, clean & very spacious all with sizeable bathrooms. The views out of room 202 were especially impressive! A buffett breakfast is available from 7.30 to 10.30am. Lots fresh bread, eggs, sausages, fruit etc & the staff were only too happy to help if anything else was required. It really is a lovely hotel in what I consider to be the best location in the city. A lot of tours start from just outside the hotel, horse & carriage rides are directly outside also. There are many bars & restaurants in the square. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone!
