Stayed here for three nights in mid-June. A lovely little hotel and our room was excellent. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was great. The location was perfect for all our sightseeing. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone going to Prague

I am a little neutral on this hotel. We just returned from a three week stay in Europe and this was one of the hotels we felt just okay about, didn't really like it but, we didn't really hate it either. First, let me say that the hotel itself is a real gem. The staff is friendly and helpful and all speak fluent English. The hotel rooms are clean, fresh and comfortable and the complementary breakfast was probably one of the best on our trip. There were a few things that made me not like the hotel however. I didn't really like the location. Most of our time was spent out of the hotel in the New town or Old town, if we ever had to return to the hotel it was quite a walk from all the attractions and the restaurants and, it is located close to the top of a very steep hill which can get a little annoying climbing it every time you want to return to the hotel. Also, we were facing Nerudova street which can be quite loud, the noise seems to amplify off the facing buildings - lots of loud big trucks pass by early in the morning (very early!) and because there was no air conditioning in the room we had to have the windows open (we tried to close them one night and woke up in the middle of the night to an extremely hot and stuffy room, I could barely breathe!). There was a very loud group of guys in the hotel across the street from us and you could hear every word they were saying and they had the TV cranked! I have never been bothered by noise before and I have stayed on the front of many a hotel that faces a loud street. I loved Prague and would love to return again but, next time I would definately stay at a hotel in the Old or New town. Mala Strana just sort of felt like a ghost town in the evenings with no one in the restaurants that lined the main street, Nerudova. However, for some strange reason it was still considerably loud at different times throughout the night when you are trying to sleep!
