The Landmark Hotel, Shenzhen - Shenzhen, China 

Stayed here 2 different times with a week. Great hotel. Club floor was a great deal and I highly recommend it, faster check in at the lounge as well. Huge room, plasma TV, free wireless and rainforest shower were great. Free laundry, free breakfast, free beer on the club floor and the butler service put it over the top. Everyone was very nice, especially the butlers. A great hotel and an outstanding value. I wish every hotel was just like this one. Only thinking lacking was the breakfast buffet didn't have an abundance of choices, however I was still satisfied.

arriving during late evening, the registration was quickly validated by having pre-registered on the hotel's website about a month earlier, thus allowing me to proceed hastily to my room. i rate this hotel top tier for shenzhen in part due the enormous rooms, capable staff and overall ambiance. do not miss the breakfast. they have the best pork and preserved egg rice porridge i have ever eaten, and this includes comparisons to home cooking. while the shangri-la hotels set the standard for asia, the landmark is on par. the hotel will be changing its name to reflect a western chain affiliation in about two months, but it will continue to exemplify the higher standards set by hong kong and singapore hotel operators. i did not have sufficient time to take candid photos, but those offered by fellow trip advisors on this site and link are typical of the hotel.
