Madara - Golden Sands, Bulgaria 

very dissapointed food looked very nice but was always cold did not taste as it looked far too many rude germans at one point 450 germans a few polish and four english couples all entertainment in german for adults and children not suitable for british most things only in german very few english speaking staff if you had a problem and the english speaking staff were off you were on your own, the staff were yet again not very friendly lots of people ill including germans. there was some health problems in hotel was kept quiet. I came home and with in an hour i was in hospital!!

I booked this holiday cheaply as I work in the travel industry!!! On arrival I was pleasantly surprized with the hotel as it looked much nicer than the brochure picture!!!! Our room was huge and airy and was nicely decorated an had a big tv!!! The bathroom is one of the best I have had on holiday. The staff at the hotel wernt friendly enough but niether were Bulgarians as a whole, I thought the people in Bulgaria would of been much more friendly than they actually were!!! Although they didnt seem that friendly at the hotel they were helpful....i just craved a smile from them once in a while. The food at the hotel was ok but not great and we ate out for most main meals, although this is because my mum was staying in golden Sands and took us out most nights. The pool and outdoor area was nice and good for kids and my son loved it....especially the playground, the pool was quite cowded and we only got a sunbed once in our weeks stay as the germans reserve beds so early in the morning. To be honest we spent most days by the beach, the beach is about a 15 min walk away, although its a nice walk with plenty to see nad do....people who say its too far from the beach are just lazy and want everything on the doorstep!!!! I loved the walk to the beach everyday.....and i was 6 mth pregnant at the time so its not too strenouous. The entertainment was rubbish as was all german but thats is acceptable because the brochure doesnt say that there is any entertainment so we didnt expect any. Id go again cuz i can get it cheap through my job but i wouldnt pay full price for 2 weeks high season cuz it isnt worth the money, its worth it for a late deal, or a second holiday!!!! Loved Golden Sands!!!!!
