Hotel Sacher Wien address: Philharmoniker Strasse 4, Vienna, 1010

Hotel Sacher Wien details: Our luxury Vienna Hotel is part of the city like the Opera House, the Prater ferry wheel, the Fiaker horse carriages and the Lipizzaner horses. The Sacher, as the Viennese call it, is a 5 star Vienna hotel that combines contemporary Viennese comfort and luxury with the charm and feel of the old Habsburg monarchy.
The Hotel Sacher Wien was opened in 1876 by Eduard Sacher, son of the creator of the Original Sacher-Torte, and soon achieved worldwide renown as a meeting place for the nobility as well as for prominent politicians and artists.

The Hotel’s long history can be felt in every room, where modern comfort is ideally combined with the charm of the Habsburg monarchy. Privately run by the families Guertler and Winkler (daughter Alexandra married in spring 2005), it is part of the philosophy of the Hotel Sacher Wien that even highest expectations of luxury-accustomed guests are met or even surpassed. Exclusive ambience, state-of-the-art comfort and first class service guarantee that every wish is anticipated.

I stayed with my husband at the Sacher for three nights on April 2008. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. It has a great location, the staff is very friendly, the decoration is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious. We had a room with a view to the Vienna Opera House. The Spa is excellent. If you are planning to visit Vienna, this is the best hotel you can stay at.
