Location

Summer:
Where better to get your body into perfect shape than in and around Kitzbuehel, the outstanding golf city of the Alps. Here, you can look forward to choosing between four local golf courses and a further 19 within an hour or so’s drive away. What’s more, a beautiful range of Nordic walking tours, mountain biking trails and intricate network of valley paths (some 750 km all in all) wait to be explored and enjoyed. And if you keep your eyes peeled you’re sure to come across one or other of the dreamy ponds... places to relax, reflect or simply daydream.

Winter:
We’ve trained long and hard to create an unbeatable winter – about 100 years or so in fact. Year after year, thanks to the talents of Mother Nature, our art of inspiration and a genuine sense of charisma, guests from all over the world thrill at the thought of spending winter in Kitzbuehel. The lively, fashionable feeling of diversity in one of the prettiest alpine towns is simply impossible to resist. This is the natural home of winter in all its glory.

Dining

Restaurant-Roßhimmel:
In the former horse stables which once housed famous trotting horses and also the post horses, today’s Rosshimmelrestaurant has managed to make quite a name for itself.
Immersed in a refined atmosphere, enjoy an evening for two, or one spent amongst a circle of close friends. A good drop of wine from our cellars will add the finishing touch to a perfect evening!
Restaurant-Goldene Gams:
The Goldene Gams restaurant, which you’ll find on the hotel’s first floor, serves up national and international cuisine in the newly redesigned ambience of the old vaults.
In summer, the outside guest garden looks out on the center of the historic “Old Town”. It is the ideal spot to while away some time during the afternoon over a good cup of coffee and Kitzbühel’s superb apple strudel, or spend a pleasant evening with friends over dinner!

I have just returned from a superbly relaxing week at the Tiefenbrunner. My friend and I both have very busy working lives and were looking for a beautiful place to be where we could 'get away from it all' and be either as lazy or as active as we wanted with no pre-planning and no resort reps telling us how to spend our time. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly. Its central location means that the tourist office is nearby as are shops, bars, bus and rail connections. Being sandwiched between the two main mountain peaks: Kitzbuhler Horn and Hannenkahm, it's also only a short walk to the two main cable car stations (although if the weather's right the walk is much more satisfying: though tough going at times). Our twin room was large and situated at the front of the hotel. Plain decor but spotlessly clean and well serviced with fresh towels daily. View of mountains and of main street was great - and the perfect vantage point for one of the town's religious processions and a local wedding procession. There is a bit of noise in the evening and the room did get quitehot but certainly not anything which would stop you getting a good nights sleep if you'd had an active day: although the beds were not particularly comfortable! The hotel offers bicycle hire (free in our case), although there are only about 12 bikes on a first come first served basis. These are nothing special but sufficient for general sightseeing (can be taken on trains (and some buses) too. There is also a table tennis table but you may have to ask for this at reception. Wellness area and pool are just perfect: especially if you use them early morning before breakfast or just before dinner when it's pretty quiet. Fitness room is small but has all you need to keep up fitness levels when the weather is more unpredictable. In the restaurant the food is generally good to excellent: five courses for dinner and a more than adequate breakfast buffet. Service and attention to detail is superb, with staff asking whether you are ready for the next course rather than just throwing it at you in a hurry to get you out again. A regular table is reserved for the duration of your stay. I've been to other towns in Austria before where the hotels or pensions have been fine but pretty average. This was my first visit to Kitzbuhel and I've been spoiled. I wholeheartedly recommend it and if I go back there again it will definitely be back to the Hotel Tiefenbrunner.

Stayed here w/c 8th March had a fantastic time. The food was absolutely delicious in the restaurant and the service was great. Lovely spotless rooms and wellness centre and good atmosphere. Will definitely come back next year and a head and shoulders above anywhere I have stayed before.
