NH Carlton Salzburg - Salzburg, Austria 3 star hotel

Address: Markus-Sittikus-Straße 3, Salzburg, 5020
NH Carlton Salzburg details:  Nestled in a tranquil residential district, close to the historical centre of Salzburg, this traditional 4-star hotel is the perfect spot for those on a city or business trip.

Situated just 100 metres from the pretty Mirabell Palace and Gardens, 700 metres from Salzburg Old town and not far from the Salzach River, it is also within walking distance of the central train station. Leisure facilities include fitness centre and a sauna.

The recreational activities below are available either on site or near the hotel and fees may apply- golfing nearby, skiing- downhill and cross-country nearby, swimming nearby and bicycle rentals on site.

We came here as a quick get away, my husband, myself and my son who was two months old. The staff were pleasant and very helpful the food was good and the hotel was very fresh, clean and accomadating. We were welcomed with a large double room already kitted out with a travel cot and when we requested a microwave and kettle to do the baby's bottles we were told it wasnt possible but the reception were more than willing to do them for us in the kitchen whenever needed. There was also a bottle of bubbly and choclates waiting for us at no extra charge. Overall a lovely stay.

I definitely agreed with Chris from Houston, TX - this is well below NH standard. I was there at the end of Sept. I felt blessed that I only stayed there for one night. When I saw the room, I thought I booked and paid the price of two stars hotel - very old and run-down (definitely not the NH that I used to stay in both Geneva and Brussels). Although the front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The free internet access from the lobby and the free muffin and coffee didn't make me feel any better. My room located on the ground floor, right next to the elevator so it was a bit noisy late in the evening and early morning. The location is quite far away from center - 15 minutes walk along the river. I'm not going to complain about the location since it would cost me a lot more if I stay near the Zentrum.
