Silver Point Villa Hotel - Barbados, Barbados 

If you are into kite boarding this is the place to do it in style and comfort. The hotel was being extended to the beach front when we stayed there. Our room consisted of a main living area, kitchen, bedroom and balcony which was clean and to a good standard with a flat screen and ipod dock stereo plus wireless access. The best points of this hotel was the food and the bar staff, plus the fellow on the front gate. They couldn't do enough for you and happy to help out either with where to go and what to see or just what to choose from off the menu. The food was exceptional, we ate at some of the best regarded restraunts on the island and the hotel was well up there. The only downside was the surrounding area, it's real Barabados and it can be imtimidating if you aren't a seasoned off the beaten track traveller. That said the local Reggie Buses are a good way to get around, but it's worth getting a car to travel a bit further. The pool is indeed only a plunge pool but the day beds are a lot better than your average sunbeds. However they are building a bigger pool with the hotel extension.
