Sharon House - , Italy 

My partner and I have just spent 4 nights at Sharon House in Amalfi and would not stay anywhere else!! Firstly it was excellent value for money - a brand new and modern place for very reasonable rates (we paid only 80 Euro per night). The room was very big (with a large and modern bathroom) and very airy with a large window overlooking a small orchard. Sharon House is located right in the centre of Amalfi - literally a couple minutes stroll from the oceanfront and with a supermarket right outside the entrance. The staff are just lovely - good morning and how are you today? everytime we saw them. They also went out of their way to book tours and even a hair appt for us!! I would definitely recommend Amalfi and Sharon House in particular - I cannot imagine another place offering better accommodation. Oh, and breakfast was great as well!

I stayed 6 nights in Sharon House and could not have been happier. The location, staff, and beautiful room were all wonderful. There is a large market next door where you can pick up a bottle of wine, cheese, chocolate or food for a picnic which is very convenient. Maria and other staff members were especially helpful when asked for dining recommendations, bus and train schedules, etc. You can get CNN in English on the TV if you want to catch up on the news in the US. My room and bath were modern, upscale and very clean. There was a nice selection of pastries, fruit, meat, cheese, yogurt and cereals at breakfast (don't expect a full Am. breakfast anywhere you go in Italy). I have been traveling throughout Europe for many years as a single female and my stay in Sharon House was the best ever as far as accommodations go. When you factor in the price, it was perfect. If you stay here it is just a block up the main street from the church--look for the signs on the little alley ways and you won't have any trouble finding it.
