Hotel U Jezulatka - Prague, Czech Republic 

The Hotel U Jezulatka has the perfect location in Prague. You could throw a rock and hit the Charles Bridge - and my sons are fond of telling me that I throw like a girl. The hotel is on Kampa Island, which is a pedestrian zone, so no noisy traffic. It's below all the hustle and bustle of the Charles Bridge, but steps away from it. There are nice restraurants in the immediate vicinity and a park a block away. The breakfast included was fantastic, but I'm going to have a hard time weaning my husband off salami and cheese for breakfast. They also had cereals, fruit, vegetables, breads and pastries, plus eggs cooked to order. The room was large by any standards and the bathroom was luxurious. The decor is elegant but not stuffy. I adored the sunny breakfast room, overlooking the bridge and the river. The staff was helpful without ever being intrusive. I would highly recommend the Hotel U Jezulatka to anyone who wants to see Prague from the middle of the action, but still wants a little peace and quiet.

Everything about this hotel was superb. It is a small family run hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff and excellent service. The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout and our bedroom was lovely, overlooking a square and with views of the castle. As well as the large bedroom, with a very comfortable bed, quality linens, flatscreen TV and complimentary minibar, there was a seperate dressing area and well fitted modern bathroom. Breakfast was included, buffet style with cold meats, cheese, fruit, cereals, bread , pastries etc. plus eggs cooked to order, and excellant coffee. Outside,on the rverbank and in the shadows of Charles bridge, is the terrace bar, open all day, If you are looking for a quiet hotel with excellant service, close to all amenities, but away from the crowds, this is the hotel to choose.
