We stayed at the Grafton with friends for 2 nights.
Our immediate impression was how clean and tidy the hotel is.
We have stayed in a few hotels in Harrogate & the Grafton is definitely one of the best.
The staff were friendly, it was nice to be helped with the bags to the room.
Both bedrooms were decorated to a good standard, spotlessly clean and quiet. Plenty of good quality toiletries.
We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, lots of choice & fresh.
If we come to Harrogate again, we will try the Grafton first.

I've added some photos so you can have a look.
This hotel is in a reasonable location to the city centre and the Harrogate International Conference centre (both a five minute walk away). But there are closer B&Bs that are the same price for a similar or better service.
This isn't a cosy homely guest house, its a B&B. The rooms are clean (ish - the bath had some stray hairs). There is no lift.
The staff were friendly and registration was relatively simple. The hotel is on a quiet street.
The decoration in the hotel could do with some attention and is tired and dated in places. Serving breakfast until 9am at the weekend is annoying - it should be served until at least 1030am to allow for a weekend lie in.
The breakfast itself was poor. Undercooked bacon, cheap fruit juice and, worst sin of all, no beans! More items are needed on the cooked breakfast (hash browns, beans etc). Better quality juice should be offered.
The room was a good size, but I think it was certainly one the larger ones directly overlooking the (rather tired) entrance to the hotel.
Overall, its not horrible and there are some nice touches (good selection of teas and coffees in the bedrooms for example). But it could do with tidying up and some changes made to ensure a better stay.
Cash wise, its about mid range in Harrogate for similar properties, it should be looking to reduce this unless it makes improvements. I paid £70 per night including breakfast.
