What can I say? On the telephone, the lady I spoke with kept interrupting me and I had the distinct impression she thought she was speaking with an imbecile. Every question I asked was met with exasperation. Despite the fact that I as yet have not found somewhere to stay, I was becoming more and more unsure while speaking to her on the telephone. She took the decision out of my hands by hanging up on me (!) I have never been treated so appallingly! Even if the beds are beautiful and the breakfasts delicious, to be treated with contempt is not something I am prepared to put up with! So thank you, Alvera Court for saving me from 2 further nights of rudeness.

We stayed at Alvera Court for 2 nights, the rooms were clean pleasantly decorated and the bed was comfortable. Also the shower was great, nice and hot, the bathroom was clean. The breakfast was good and the propriertor, Colin, was very friendly and helpful. It also has it's own car park, which is a bonus, and is ideally located to the centre of Harrogate.
