Location is very close to Prater. Also you can use 2 metro stations (Hotel is in the middle of two metro station). I wasn't mad about location to be honest as it's little bit far from centre of the city. Room was bit small and didn't have bath. Our room was on the main road. It was noisy but nice view. Staff is so helpful and friendly. One of the nicest staff I've ever met! They have photos of all staff with smile on the wall. I thought it was really nice! You know who clean your room!! Breakfast was Excellent. Lovely hotel. 4.2

Spring visit to Vienna I visited Vienna with friends in May and stayed here. the reception staff were very helpful and spoke good English. The rooms were pretty big for a single and very clean. However the walls were very thin and there was a lot of doors being slammed and you could hear the conversations in the corridor. It also had very thin curtains and the sun was up early so so were we - not a lot of sleep so I was glad we were only there for 3 days. The breakfast was traditional and very nice. It was right opposite the station at Praterstern and very easy to find. It was also near Praterpark amusement park but it was quite a trek into the centre of Vienna. Overall the hotel was very nice bar the thin walls problem. 3.4

Great choice This hotel is great. Officially 3 starred, but if they ask me I'd give them a 4th rightaway. Stayed there for three nights (watch out for special 2 nights + 1 free deals) and enjoyed my stay there very much. Location is good, close to Prater fun fair and two metro stops from the very heart of Vienna. The room was fine, nice TV with 30+ channels. A bit warm though, no airconditioning. Very helpful staff and a lovely breakfast buffet.

"Our stay at the Nordbahn Hotel" My husband and I together with our 2 children have stayed at the Nordbahn Hotel both last year and this year that is 2005 and 2006. The service was excellent, in fact this year my parents came with us and their comments were very positive too. The hotel is always very clean and even the rooms are very clean and served with almost anything one could expect to find in this category of hotels. The staff are all very friendly and ready to help too. The breakfast is very abundant and there is always something to everyones liking. For us this hotel would easily fit into the 4 star category. "Great place to stay" I have just got back from my trip to Vienna and have to say I couldn't have picked a better place to stay than the Nordbahn. Spotlessly clean, the rooms had every amenity that you could require. The bar was lovely although quite quiet and the buffet breakfast was fantastic. Everyone from the reception staff to the maids were very helpful and pleasant. From a sightseeing point of view it was great - 5 minutes from either the train or the underground. If you fancy a walk it's best to head to Schwedensplatz, which takes about 10 minutes and then from there the centre of Vienna is only another 10 minutes with plenty of places to stop for a Viennese coffee on the way. I was with my sister and, as two women on their own, we never felt threatened or vulnerable once. There are lots of places to eat around the Nordbahn too - Zum Inder was nice (Indian) as was Fiorino (Italian). There was also a really busy Japanese Restaurant further along Praterstrasse but we ran out of time before we could try it. On the whole a great experience and I would recommend the hotel to anyone. It was great.

"Number One in Vienna" We have stayed at Hotel Nordbahn about 5 times in the last 3 years and LOVE it. The location is PERFECT, less than 5 minutes from Prater and 10 min from the city. Bearing in mind its location, the Hotel is very quiet. It has a great ambience, the rooms are nice (not huge, but more than adequate) and the lounge and bar is a great place to just hang out. The service superb (and you get so much more personal service than at the mega-hotels) and the included breakfast buffet is greatly appreciated. We would recommend this Hotel to anyone and hope that we will be returning in the not too distant future.
