The Adler Hotel is a charming, just new renovated 3* hotel located right in the heart of the "Niederdorf" area, Zurich´s lively and charming Old Town with its unique atmosphere.

The Hotel Adler has been welcoming guests since the end of the 16th century. The building has been brought up to modern standards in 2006 without concealing its long history.

In each of the 52 rooms there is a wall painting by artist Heinz Blum depicting a corner of the city of Zurich for you to discover.

Food & beverage

A Swiss experience! To dine in the "Swiss Chuchi" restaurant is to enjoy Swiss traditions first-hand. The experience begins with the carefully renovated interior, whose traditional decorations provide the perfectly ambiance for our culinary specialities. In summer, outside seating tempts one to relax while savouring the pulsing city life.

You will be surprised by our modern cuisine, featuring time-honoured recipes such as the classic "Adler Cheese Fondue" or crispy "Rösti" potato pancakes. The restaurant "Swiss Chuchi" is a prized experience for travellers who enjoy discovering the local culinary delights, wherever in the world their journeys may take them.

Breakfast is served from 06:15 to 10:00 from Monday to Friday and from 07:00 to 11:00 on weekends.

In keeping with the spirit of modern times, the Hotel Adler brings traditional character to the pleasures of hotel living. Its verable old walls now house a completely renovated, charming hotel with first-class comforts.

It all conveys a sense of style, from the private baths to the generous wall decorations portraying different views of the city. The refrigerators in each room are cooled using an environmentally-friendly system designed and patented especially for us. It is clear - the Hotel Adler ideally reflects the quality of life in cosmopolitan Zurich.

Area information

Just a few minutes from the main sights. Located in the picturesque old town. Stroll along the showcase promenade of Zurich, Switzerland's most vibrant city, which starts right at the front door. The business centre, the famous "Bahnhofstrasse" and the lake are just five minutes walk distance away. The railway station is two stops on the tram and the airport just under a quarter of an hour's ride away.

Charming hotel in the most beautiful street of Zürich. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, bierhouses and many more attractions in a few meters around. Adler kept a consistent quality since many years. I felt like home during my stay...

Great central location in old town

Very noisy on street as there's a nightclub a few blocks away and people were wandering by all night long

The people who worked there

They put us in a junior suite, (as reserved), on the second floor above their restaurant. It is also on a street. It was very noisy and the walls and ceiling are not sound proof. We asked to be moved to a quieter room and on the third night they moved us to their best room. It was much better.

We arrived early in am and staff gave us breakfast while the room was being prepared. Fans were provided for the heat.

The second floor was noisy at night and early morning but closing the windows helped.

The hotel’s booking system or something didn’t seem working, so I was given a wrong room key that someone’s already in. And about 3 other people entered my room after I got a right one. That was really annoying.

The location of the hotel in the old town, near the river and not far from the lake. The tram station is close to the hotel with easy access to the shopping streets, the train station and the surrounded attractions.

The smell in the room from the restaurants around the hotel.

(1) Very noisy (could only sleep with the windows closed, which was too hot) (2) The cleaning ladies disposed of a bottle that was not in the dust bin.

It was centrally located

When we arrived at night to check in we were told that we did not have the room because of some problems with our credit card. Our credit card was perfectly valid. We got our room only after we put our foot down and refused to move from there. We had requested a family room and the bed given to our kids was a sofa bed which was in a very bad condition
