From an elevated position on the hill overlooking Zurich, but just minutes from the centre, the Dolder Waldhaus offers spectacular panoramic views of the city, the lake and the Alps.

It is the ideal destination for business trips or a short getaway if you wish to combine perfect peace and quiet with relaxation. The 4-star hotel has 70 rooms and 30 apartments, all with balconies and panoramic views, as well as several conference rooms. The Dolder Waldhaus Restaurant, with its sun terrace, serves a wide range of delicious specialities and is popular with the local population. For total relaxation, don’t miss the indoor pool with sauna, solarium and massages. The nearby Dolder Sports offers facilities for many different types of sporting activities.

The Restaurant Dolder Waldhaus is famed for its quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Our chef de cuisine, Gion Martin Fetz, will spoil you with a tempting choice of dishes made of only the very freshest ingredients. Apart from well-known Waldhaus classics like Zurich-style sliced veal or liver, our menus feature a choice of daily specials, seasonal dishes and delicious gourmet classics. His international experience is reflected in a selection of Thai dishes. In summer, the sunny terrace is perfect for al fresco dining.
And for an aperitif before dinner, or drinks and cocktails, what better place than the hotel bar?

Room information

All the 70 spacious rooms have a balcony. They are equipped with mini-bar, safe, radio, cable-TV, direct-dial telephone with voice mail, computer/modem- and fax connection and ISDN. The bathrooms have floor heating, a scale and hairdryer.

Area information

The Dolder Waldhaus Hotel is located in the heart of wonderful woodland in one of Zurich’s most attractive residential areas. It enjoys a scenic setting high above the hustle and bustle of Switzerlands largest city. But it takes only 10 easy minutes to reach the historic old town or the main railway station.
Tourist or cultural attractions such as Zurich Zoo or the Museum of Fine Arts are situated nearby.

Wonderfully renovated rooms; great views; nice balcony. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere in hotel. Feels like countryside, yet close to city centre. Even with public transport where Dolder Bahn is an unexpected bonus.

Interesting location of hotel, "on the top of the world". A bit difficult to figure out how to get there. The possible use of the Dolder Bahn should have been mentioned on the Hotels web pages.

Parts of the hotel are very obviously from the 60 -70ies. With an renovations this hotel would have been amazing, because of this the hotel feelt a bit schizophrene.

No air con in rooms. Had to keep window/balcony door open at night for air.

Lage des Hotels und Ausblick ist wunderbar und die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend, auch freundlich zu Kindern

Schweizer Preise (z.B. für Frühstück etc.) sind einfach überzogen, aber das ist wohl ein generelles Problem
