A group reservation was originally made at the Des Deux-Iles by a friend for a 2 night stay. When I decided to extend my stay in Paris, I made a separate reservation (months in advance) at the hotel for an extra day. When I arrived, I was informed that they were unsure if I intended to stay an extra day and did not reserve the room. They were now fully booked and would have to move me to their nearby sister hotel (Lutece) for the extra day. Very disappointed since they room at the Lutece was not as nice as the one at Des Deux-Iles and they had ample time to contact me to confirm my reservation.

I have been to Paris perhaps a dozen times and this was my first stay at Hotel Des Deux-Iles. I will return to this hotel.

This hotel is absolutely fablous! Awesome! As we needed to save money, we grabbed our dinner from ouside, however, they were willingly to allow us to use microwave and even offered to provide to tray, dishes and folks, spoon etc. to eat at ease!! The location was also great! It's residence area, calm, and available to communicate with local French. They were pretty friendly and sweet. I alwasys asked the hotel staff how to say in French and tried to talk, so I could make friends and they seemed impressed about it. All the staff of this hotel has great hospitality. I would like to give 3 stars if I were Michellin.

From Gare du Nord station: take RER B or D (local train service), or underground line 4 (direction Porte d'Orléans), until Châtelet Les Halles. Then, take underground line 7, direction Villejuif - Louis Aragon, and get off at Pont Marie.

From Gare de l'Est station: take underground line 7, direction Villejuif - Louis Aragon, and get off at Pont Marie.

From Gare de Lyon station: take line A, D, 1 or 14 until Châtelet Les Halles. Then, take underground line 7, direction Villejuif - Louis Aragon, and get off at Pont Marie.

From Paris Roissy/Charles de Gaulle International Airport: take RER B (local train service) until Châtelet Les Halles. Then, take underground line 7, direction Villejuif - Louis Aragon, and get off at Pont Marie.

From Paris Orly International Airport : take Orlyval shuttle service to Antony station. Then, take RER B (local train service), direction Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV, until Châtelet Les Halles. Then, take underground line 7, direction Villejuif - Louis Aragon, and get off at Pont Marie.
