Hotel beside a theatre and were kept awake by noise loading and unloading theatre equipment. Area not particulary nice.

Very impressed with size and cleanliness of room. The neighborhood is not ideal for women travelers, but it was very convenient to the train, the Marienplatz and the Hofbrauhaus. At checkout the concierge told me he would only accept cash but managed to find a credit card machine when I insisted.

Hotel surroundings are a bit intimidating upon arrival, but location with respect to pedestrian/historic center is good. Marienplatz is just 5 blocks away. Good place to stay for a short stay (1-2 nights)so you are willing to sacrifice services for convenient location.

The Hotel is quite good. even if the rooms are small and a little bit noise. the hotel is located near the railway station. a good position. 5 minutes to the main centre.

In the heart of Munich, everithing at hand! Familiar and warm environment. Breakfast options (included) very good if compared to price. Parking management seemed a little bit "messy", but worked properly. Strangely I was asked to pay cash part of the bill, though I could fully pay by Credit Card.

This hotel is in a very noisy street, it is close to the main railway station in Munich but you have to pass through a red light area to get there. The communal areas in the hotel smelled like a sewerage pipe. Breakfast was a bit low budget and the people working in the breakfast room was unfriendly. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends and I will not stay there again.

Hotel fully met our expectations including online comment about hospitality and helpfulness of reception. We loved the location because of its convenience to most facilities. We walked from the railway station, to bus terminal and enjoyed the downtown area.

Hotel is in an adult entertainment area, busy street, three blocks from the train station and three blocks from the entrance to the old city center. Fast food restaurants within sight of the hotel. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Tiny elevator/lift to 4th floor, walk up from there to fifth floor. We had a large, clean quadruple room on the top floor, with some sloping ceilings, and a huge, modern bathroom. Nice bedding. Room was facing the street, so it was noisy. Breakfast was average. One free internet-access computer outside bar/breakfast room. Provided luggage storage at front desk so we could walk around city until our train departed.

Excellent breakfast. Room was spacious, but no A/C and needed to open the window - too much street noise to be able to sleep.

The rooms were comfortable but of an average size. The personnel of the hotel was not existent except for the lady at the front desk. No one to assist you with the luggage as in most hotels we went. Breakfast was good. I would stay in this hotel again if necessary.

Very close to downtown shopping, metro. Nice clean rooms, had a quadruple which was huge. Very professional and welcoming gentleman at the front desk. Good breakfast, good bistro. Only 4 tiny parking spaces allotted to hotel for 15 euro fee per day, but there is a car park down the street. Only negative was they told us they couldn't take credit cards - this was a bluff. When I called the bluff they gave in. Just mention the website says you can pay with CC. Being lied to like that was an unfortunate end to a lovely stay, but it wouldn't keep me from going back.

This was the nicest hotel for our budget, much larger than a normal European hotel. Beds were big, with down comforters and they provided a voucher for 2 for 1 dinner at the Mediterranean restaurant downstairs which was absolutely delicious. I didn't find the area dodgy at all, we absolutely enjoyed this hotel. Our price was much less than what is posted on the site currently, perhaps because we travelled in late winter.

our stay was affected by the very noisy room we got, otherwise all good except that there are 2 hotels with the same name next to each other, small confusion in finding the right one!

The hotel was very good and had spacious rooms. I imagine the location could be a bit dodgy at night and would not walk around on my own but on the other hand was very accessible to the transport system and city centre (a few minutes walk to the main shopping street!) We went at a good time of year (October). Would be concerned staying there during the summer as there was no air conditioning in our room and am not sure if this is true for all rooms.

Parking has to be payed separately (15 euro a day). No credit cards accepted!! I reserved two double rooms but one of them was small (a french bed). Position is interesting but price is a bit high.

Très bon conseil pour les visites et activités possibles sur la période - nombreuses brochures. Pas de double lit dans la chambre. Par contre, le paiement par CB n'a pas fonctionné, heureusement il y a un guichet au coin de la rue. A prévoir!

Very clean room, but quite impersonal. The people at reception were not very helpful, nor polite. Plan to pay in cash. Nice breakfasts. Hotel located near main station, in town center.

After reservation was confirmed on the arrival the room wasn't available. Had to spend one night in an awfull hotel booked by Deutsches Theater hotel. It was of an inferior quality with no service whatsoever but for the same price. I was on a business trip and this incident made my stay rather unpleasant. I wonder if this happens often with Deutsches Theater hotel customers?

My stay at this hotel was fine in general. The one problem that I found was paying for the hotel. I stayed two nights in this hotel. When I checked out the hotel clerk decided that I needed to pay in cash because the machines were not working. He gave me directions to an ATM machine. He never tried the transaction. I asked him if we could try it again later to see if the machine would take my credit card. I waited about an hour and a half and asked him to try it again. He did reluctantly. I found this to be the case all over Germany that no one was taking credit cards for payment. But for a hotel room? I feel like the hotel clerk out right lied to me about the machine not working. What is the reason for this? Is it that it costs too much for each transaction? Or is it just not used on a regular basis there yet? Any feedback on this would be appreciated?

The hotel offered more than expected or promised. Centrally located and with easy access to transportation made it a convenient location. Definitely will stay there again during future visits to Munich.

The hotel was really convenient, we wanted to stay near the station. Slightly seedy part of Munich perhaps but was quite a nice contrast to the posh atmosphere of central Munich which was just down the road anyway. Really liked the hotel - simple, unpretentious, and added charm from being linked to the theatre. Excellent service from staff, especially the older gentleman on reception who helped us with our German. Free internet use a bonus.

Room did not have air conditioning so street noise was loud when windows were open. Convenient location but some businesses in neighborhood less than desirable.

Bedrooms were fine but the location was somewhat downmarket (though convenient for the rail station). Disappointed that the restuarant was not open on Monday evenings, particularly as there were few appropriate restaurants in the immediate locality. Hotel staff generally very helpful.

Rooms on the street are rather noisy. Half of the rooms are located on the theater courtyard. Request a room on this quieter side of the hotel if you want to stay in this hotel.

The hotel is in a central place, but lacks any common area, the reception is tiny. The elevator doesn't reach the 5th floor and its use is often awkward. At check out the employee asked me if I could pay a part of the amount cash. Only after my insistence he accepted to be paid fully with the credit card. The window in my room didn't have the blinds; I asked for them, but during the whole three days I had to put a towel on the window.
